U. S. Complete Shooting Dog Association
July 26, 2014

The U. S. Complete Shooting Dog Association held its annual meeting at the Club House of the Dick Cross Wildlife Management Area, in Boydton, VA.  First order of business was the voting member sign in and proxies counted.
The 2013 minutes were posted online at uscomplete.org shortly after the last meeting.  A motion was made and seconded that the minutes be accepted as published and all approved.
Yvonne gave a financial report which was approved by all.  Then a discussion followed on how to best help the financial situation
An Update was given on the Health of both Les Hobbs and Meredith Jones.
Ted gave a report on the Futurity and gave an update on the Carrington Tract.  They will make sure they have some kind of headquarters at the trial.
Discussion then went on to sponsors.            Garmin/Tritronics are still providing collars for the National events, however some of the collars are the smaller model.  Purina is still providing funds and coupons at this time, but we will have to wait and see what will happen in their next fiscal year.  Members are reminded to include a thank you to the sponsor and mention that it is a US Complete trial in the writeup’s.

Insurance was then discussed, with no changes.

National Open Invitational was the next order of business, after discussion motion was made that the Open Invitational will now be run in conjunction with the Futurity and be known as the Bob Lee U.S. Complete Shooting Dog Invitational Championship and all dogs who place in an US Complete Shooting Dog or Derby stake will have an invitation to the Chamionship. So that any dog placing in an Amateur or Open Shooting Dog or Derby Stake in an U.S. Complete Trial will be eligible to run in Bob Lee Shooting Dog Championship.  All agreed.
The handicapped rule was again revisited and after some discussion was agreed to leave as is.

The U. S. Complete National Amateur Championship will be held in IL on February 20-22, 2015 hosted by the Central States Region.  Amateur Invitational will be held at Dick Cross WMA in Boydton, VA on December 5-7, 2014;  National Open Championship will be held in Cheraw, SC at Coopr Black WMA on January 8-11, 2015.  Anyone wanting to host any of the National Championship’s please contact the Secretary or the President.

Aaron McAffe and the Central States Region will host the 2015-2016 Open National Championship.
Reminder to please get trial dates to Yvonne so that they can be posted, please include the name of the contact person with contact information and location of the trial.
Secretary then requested an increase in salary, as she will be decrease some of the regular costs of phone and internet.  After a lengthy discussion it was left with no increase but a motion was made that the executive committee could make a another decision in the future.

Discussion was then opened up as to where the membership would like next years meeting.  Many requested something more upscale  such as Williamsburg, so the new President will be left in charge with picking a date and setting up the details.

The floor was opened up for nominations for Officers.  The nominating Committee read the list of nominations they had and no new nominations came from the floor.  The Officer to be voted on are as follows:

President                   Art Mourino
Vice President          Aaron McAfee
2nd Vice President    Dennis Beauford
3rd Vice President     Phil Townley
Secty/Treas.               Yvonne McKeag

All were approved and they will be the officers for the next two years.  It was also discussed that we need a marketing director but no motion was made to finalize the matter.

The meeting was then brought to a close.
Respectfully submitted.
